OutRun Online Arcade Hits XBLA This Week

This Wednesday, long-time Sega fans (and arcadey racing fans in general) have something to look forward to. OutRun Online Arcade is the rebirth of Yu Suzuki‘s 1986 arcade classic. This version ditches the lovable, if somewhat poorly aged, scaling sprite effects of the original, pushing it into the high-definition realm with a fresh 3D coat of paint.

There was always more to OutRun than zooming toward the horizon, though, and hopefully this new version can bring along with it that cool-coasting feel, which was partly achieved thanks to a blazing soundtrack. Either way, this Ferrari flasher can be yours for the price of 800 MS points this Wednesday.
