Original Anime Girls Band Cry Revealed by Toei Animation

Original Anime Girls Band Cry Revealed by Toei AnimationNo girls’ band, no cry. Or somethin’. We’ll figure out what the title means later, but for now, the news: Toei Animation has just revealed a new original anime series called Girls Band Cry.

Along with the reveal came the first piece of key art, which gives us a taste for what the series will be about. There’s a high school girl with what looks like a Fender Telecaster and a tagline that reads: “anger, joy, sadness: throw it all away.”

The key art also promises more info about the project on May 29, a little over a month from now.

Will this original anime series be something in the vein of Bocchi the Rock! or K-On!? Guess we’ll find out soon.
