The accolades continue to amass for One Piece Film: Red, which just passed the 9 billion yen mark and is well on its way to the milestone of 10 billion yen in the Japanese box office. As a result, the most successful film in the One Piece series is now the 53rd highest-grossing film of all time in Japan.

The film’s box office total as of August 21 is 9,281,365,450 (about US$67.59 million), with 6,651,711 tickets sold over the 16-day period. This also makes it the 12th highest-grossing anime film of all time, passing both Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween and Ghibli’s Arrietty.

Next up for the movie is an international release from Crunchyroll, which describes the feature like so:

Uta —the most beloved singer in the world. Renowned for concealing her own identity when performing, her voice has come to be described as “otherworldly.” Now, for the first time ever, Uta will reveal herself to the world at a live concert. As the venue fills with all kinds of Uta fans—excited pirates, the Navy watching closely, and the Straw Hats led by Luffy who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance—the voice that the whole world has been waiting for is about to resound. The story begins with the shocking fact that she is Shanks’ daughter.
