Japanese band Official HiGE DANdism has generated some big anime hits of late, including SPY x FAMILY theme song “Mixed Nuts” and Tokyo Revengers theme songs “Cry Baby” and “White Noise.” While the band has some big performances coming up soon, they have to be canceled due to vocal cord polyps that were discovered on vocalist and pianist Satoshi Fujihara.
Fujihara said he started having trouble using his voice last year, and since the polyps require medical treatment he apologized to fans and those organizing the events for having to miss them. The events in question are the UVERworld VS series Day 2 – UVERworld vs. Official HiGE DANdism concert on April 13, as well as the August 19 and 20 days of Summer Sonic 2023.
Fujihara vowed to recuperate and return to the stage, but in the meantime the band will begin accepting refund requests for the UVERworld concert on Monday. Summer Sonic 2023 festival ticket holders are not eligible for refunds.
