The anime My Happy Marriage (based on the light novel series Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon by Akumi Agitogi and illustrator Tsukiho Tsukioka) will debut this July and be streamed by Netflix. Ahead of this a pretty “visual image” video was released showing Miyo and Kiyoka walking amidst cherry blossoms.
It was also just announced that the show’s opening theme song is titled “Anata no Soba ni” (translated as “By Your Side”) and performed by Riria. Meanwhile, the ending theme song is titled “Itaphilosophy” and performed by Kashitarō Itō.
Looking toward the cast, Reina Ueda plays Miyo Saimori, Kaito Ishikawa plays Kiyoka Kudo, Ayane Sakura plays Kaya Saimori, Kōtarō Nishiyama plays Kōji Tatsuishi, Houko Kuwashima plays Yurie, and Hiro Shimono plays Yoshito Godō.
The anime is being made at Kinema Citrus with Takehiro Kubota of Gloomy the Naughty Grizzly helming the project as the director.
The original light novels are being published in America by Yen Press. There is also a manga adaptation being published in America by Square Enix Manga & Books. Square Enix gave this description for the first volume:
