Then here is the new visual:

There was previously a drama CD adaptation, and the anime made the point of getting back the original voice actors from the CD. Here is the announced cast, all of whom are keeping their roles:

  • Sayumi Suzushiro (Ami Tsuruga in The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses) plays Iroha Kohinata
  • Tomori Kusunoki (Misha Necron in The Misfit of Demon King Academy) plays Mashiro Tsukinomori
  • Sōma Saitō (Tadashi Yamaguchi in Haikyu!!) plays Ozuma Kohinata
  • Kana Hanazawa (Shiemi Moriyama in Blue Exorcist) plays Sumire Kageishi

The series is being made at BLADE, with Kazuomi Koga, known for Rent-A-Girlfriend and The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases, helming the project as director. The person taking care of the scripts is Tōko Machida of Lucky Star.

J-Novel Club publishes the original light novels by Ghost Mikawa and gave this description for their plot:

My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me! Plot

If a girl teases you, that means she likes you!
Unfortunately, Akiteru knows from experience that isn’t the case. Because every girl he interacts with shows him nothing but scorn, and he’s not scored a single date from it! Luckily, he’s more concerned with securing a spot for him and his game-development buddies at his uncle’s business. But when his uncle throws him a condition that involves playing the part of his daughter’s boyfriend, Akiteru has no choice but to take it.
What will his best friend’s sister Iroha, who bullies him relentlessly, think of the news?
