Mission: Yozakura Family, the new anime based on the manga by Hitsuji Gondaira, hits screens April 7. That’s the word from a new ad for the series, which you can see below.
Like the popular Spy x Family, Mission: Yozakura Family also revolves around, well, a family of spies. You can check out our extensive introduction to the manga here.
The anime is directed by Mirai Minato (BOFURI) at Silver Link, with character designs and chief animation direction from Mizuki Takahashi (Mushoku Tensei). It stars Kaede Hosho, Reiji Kawashima, Akari Kito and more.
Here’s how Viz describes the first volume:
Taiyo Asano is a super-shy high school student and the only person he can talk to is his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura. However, Mutsumi comes from a line of master spies with amazing powers. Her oldest brother, Kyoichiro, is obsessed with Mutsumi and out to kill anyone who gets remotely near her—and his next target is Taiyo! The only way for Taiyo to save himself from Kyoichiro’s murderous clutches is to marry Mutsumi!
