Based on the comic by French artist Guillaume “Run” Renard, MFKZ is an over-the-top animated genre mashup brought to the big screen courtesy of the anime masters at Studio 4ºC (Mind Game, Tekkonkinkreet, Genius Party). Now it’s about to light up theaters on October 11 and 16, and you can get tickets now!

The film centers on young Angelino and his skull-and-flame pal Vinz, who live in a seedy tenement in an LA-inspired dystopian metropolis – a burnt-out, gang and cockroach-ridden neo-urban hell. Following a scooter accident Angelino starts experiencing migraines and strange hallucinations, as well as fits of rage-inspired superpowers, as he slowly awakens to the truth of his origins: he is half-human and half-Macho, a supernatural alien race that is bent on taking over the planet.

In addition to the hyperkinetic visuals, MFKZ features the voice talent of Michael Chiklis (The Shield, American Horror Story), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, The Usual Suspects), Jorge Gutierrez (The Book of Life, Son of Jaguar), Dascha Polanco (Orange is the New Black, Joy), RZA, Vince Staples, and Danny Trejo (Machete, Predators).

MFKZ creator Guillaume Renard directs the feature along with Tekkonkinkreet animation director Shoujirou Nishimi, and Tekkonkinkreet‘s Shinji Kimura rounds out the dream team as art director. Don’t miss your two-day chance to see this wild feature as it was meant to be seen: as loud as possible on the big screen. Head to the official site to check theater locations and secure your tickets today.
