Me & Roboco Film Reveals New Key Art, Cast Members

Me & Roboco Film Reveals New Key Art, Cast MembersThe theatrical anime adaptation of the manga Me & Roboco, which hits Japanese screens on April 18, has revealed a new piece of key art and some new cast members.

Joining the cast are Shigeru Chiba, Sumire Uesaka and Masako Nozawa as three Robocos: a hardcore sci-fi action Roboco, a romantic comedy Roboco and a Showa gag manga Roboco, respectively.

We’ve also got a promo video for the Me & Roboco film centered around Chiba’s sci-fi action Roboco. Chiba’s first impression of his character, says Comic Natalie, was, and I quote: “Huh? What? What’s with the apron? Am I a man? A woman?? A maid???”

The Me & Roboco film, based on the manga by Shuhei Miyazaki, is set in a kind of multiverse in which Robocos from different worlds collide. It’s directed by Akitaro Daichi (Jubei-chan: The Ninja Girl).

The Me & Roboco manga has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump since July 2020, and received a TV anime adaptation in December 2022.

Here’s how VIZ Media sums up the manga’s story:

In a world where most families own a cute maid robot, average elementary kid Bondo hopes for one of his own. But the wacky robot who shows up is anything but average!
