The spring 2021 anime MARS RED has hooked up with an iconic performer for its ending theme. L’Arc~en~Ciel vocalist HYDE will close the episodes out with the ED “ON MY OWN,” which will be available as a digital single starting on April 9. Ahead of the show’s premiere, you can hear a sample of the dramatic song in the new trailer below.
Based on a dramatic stage reading by Bun-O Fujisawa, the Kouhei Hatano directed series will stream on Funimation as it airs in Japan starting on April 5. Here’s how they describe it:
It’s 1923, and until recently, vampires kept to the shadows. When the mysterious blood source Ascra appears, their numbers swell, leaving Japan covered in bodies. In response, the government spawns its own coven to infiltrate the dark. With S-rank vampire Deffrot and the rookie Kurusu, this kill squad is made for one reason: to hunt the undead.
