Ever-busy anime studio MAPPA (Attack on Titan Final Season, JUJUTSU KAISEN) is looking to further expand its capabilities. MAPPA announced that it has established a new studio in Osaka, with the aim of focusing on computer-generated aspects of the animation process.
The new studio will specialize in CGI-related techniques ranging from 3DCG animation to background art, photography, finishing, editing and design. MAPPA is currently recruiting new staff for the studio, and they’re hoping it will attract creators and students in the Kansai region who want to work in the anime industry without leaving their hometowns.
MAPPA—which Masao Maruyama founded in June 2011—currently has studios in both Tokyo and Sendai.
