The Ojamojo Doremi anime series—known in English as Magical DoReMi—is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and part of the big event includes a new anime film project. Majo Minarai o Sagashite (Searching for Witch Apprentices) is officially set to open in Japan in Summer 2020, with a special talk and screening event lined up with the film’s staff in tow for Tokyo International Film Festival 2019.
The special event is scheduled for October 29 at the Roppongi Hills Arena venue. Producer Seki Hiromi will be in attendance along with writer Midori Kuriyama, character designer/chief animation director Yoshihiko Umakoshi, and directors Junichi Sato and Yū Kamatani.
Fans who attend the free event can look forward to more info on the upcoming anime film, as well as screenings of episode 12 of Magical Doremi season 5 and two movies, Magical Doremi and Magical Doremi 3: The Secret of the Frog Stone.
