Well, I guess this is no longer an unlikely collaboration, because here it is right before our very eyes! Love Live! Sunshine!!‘s school idol group Aqours is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and one of the ways the nine-member VA unit is doing so is with Crayon Shin-chan, all because its protagonist Shinnosuke Nohara is five years old. See? There is a connection there! Or rather it seems like someone just really wanted to will this partnership into existence.
To celebrate this collab, official merch will go on sale starting June 25, featuring the girls of Aqours drawn in Shin-chan style on t-shirts, phone cases, and other items. Pre-orders go live on April 14, and you can see a special announcement promo for the Love Live! Sunshine!! x Crayon Shin-chan collaboration below.
