At the end of June, the official JUJUTSU KAISEN accounts announced that the manga has surpassed 80 million copies printed physically and sold digitally. A live-action promo was promised to commemorate the milestone, and while it doesn’t include any characters just as they said it wouldn’t, it does indeed convey the vibes and worldview of the series nicely.
The trailer debuted during a broadcast of the JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 anime film on Japanese TV and also promotes the launch of the 23rd volume of Gege Akutami’s hit manga. Check it out below.
The manga started in the pages of Shonen Jump back in 2018. There are currently 23 collected volumes. Here’s how VIZ Media describes volume 1:
Although Yuji Itadori looks like your average teenager, his immense physical strength is something to behold! Every sports club wants him to join, but Itadori would rather hang out with the school outcasts in the Occult Research Club. One day, the club manages to get their hands on a sealed cursed object. Little do they know the terror they’ll unleash when they break the seal…
The first episode of JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 is now live on Crunchyroll for those who are caught up.
