Big news was revealed for Satoru Noda’s Golden Kamuy manga today. As announced on publisher Shueisha’s entertainment news site Shueisha Online, the series is officially getting a live-action film adaptation.
Additional details are pretty much non-existent at this point, but the announcement also appeared on the wraparound band of the 29th volume of the manga, which just hit stores in Japan.
Noda’s manga has been running in the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine since August 2014, and as of volume 29 it has roughly 19 million copies in circulation. The final chapter is set to debut in this year’s 22nd and 23rd combined issue of Young Jump on April 28.
