Netflix’s live-action Cowboy Bebop series is a very real thing that’s happening, and four key cast members are here to cement that notion a little further. According to a report on Variety, the production has John Cho (Star Trek, Harold & Kumar) playing Spike Spiegel along with Mustafa Shakir (the second season of Luke Cage) as Jet Black and Daniella Pineda (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) as Faye Valentine.
Alex Hassell, who stars in the upcoming adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic The Boys, will play notorious hitman and Spike’s arch-enemy/ex-partner Vicious.
As for Ed, the casting process is still underway.
The live-action Cowboy Bebop still has some of the original anime’s creators involved. Most notable is director Shinichiro Watanabe, who is executive producing and consulting. Sunrise’s Yasuo Miyakawa, Masayuki Ozaki, and Shin Sasaki are also among the executive producers.
Netflix picked Cowboy Bebop up for 10 episodes back in November of last year.
