Let’s Make a Mug Too Anime Premieres on April 2

let's make a mug

There aren’t many anime titles more innocent sounding than Yakunara Mug Cup Mo, AKA Let’s Make a Mug Too. The ceramics anime (ceranime?) is on the way to adapt the manga promoting the city of Tajimi, and the latest update has it scheduled for an April 2 premiere in Japan.

There are a few new cast additions, too, including Kaito Ishikawa as Himeno’s father Tokishiro Toyokawa, Rin Mizuhara as Himeno’s grandmother Sachie Tokikawa, and Mana Ogawa as Mami Koizumi, the ceramics club adviser. Check out the new trailer and visual below.

Here’s how the English website for the manga describes it:

The city of Tajimi, located in the southern part of Gifu Prefecture, Japan, is famous for Mino earthenware. The city is dotted with historical pottery producers and ceramic art museums. It has facilities where you can try your hand at making pottery, and many restaurants that serve food on Minoware dishes.

The story begins when a high school girl moves to a shopping street in Tajimi. Many encounters await her, friends, town folk, ceramic art, etc. What will she discover in a town famous for ceramics?
