laid-back camp season 3

After being announced in October 2022, we’re gradually getting closer to the debut of Laid-Back Camp season 3. It still just has a vague 2024 premiere window, but at least we have a new trailer and visual to tide us over for now. In addition to showing off more of the new season, the latest drop reveals the opening and ending theme artists.

Kiminone will perform the opening theme and Asaka will perform the ending theme. Let’s see how Laid-Back Camp season 3 is shaping up below.

Key visual:

The new season has Shin Tosaka taking over as director at anime studio eightbit. Series composition will be handled by Pierre Suigura and character designs will be handled by Naofumi Hashimoto.

Yen Press publishes the manga in English. The anime adaptation is available to stream on Crunchyroll, which describes the series like so:

Nadeshiko, a high school student who had moved from Shizuoka to Yamanashi, decides to see the famous, 1000 yen-bill-featured Mount Fuji. Even though she manages to bike all the way to Motosu, she’s forced to turn back because of worsening weather. Unable to set her eyes on her goal, she faints partway to her destination. When she wakes up, it’s night, in a place she’s never been before, with no way of knowing how to get home. Nadeshiko is saved when she encounters Rin, a girl who is out camping by herself. This outdoorsy girls story begins with this first encounter between Nadeshiko and Rin.

There’s also a live-action TV series, video games and an anime film.
