The horror manga Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary (a.k.a. Kaya-chan wa Kowakunai in Japanese) is getting an anime adaptation, and its first trailer has dropped. We also have some information on the cast and crew.
Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary Trailer
Two members of the cast were revealed:
- Azusa Tachibana (Yu Yutani in Bad Girl) plays main character Kaya-chan
- Maaya Uchida (Yūki Yoshino in Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) plays kindergarten teacher Chie-sensei
The series is being made at East Fish Studio, with Hiroshi Ikehata of 365 Days to the Wedding helming the project as director. The person handling the series scripts is Shigeru Murakoshi, whose credits include Zombie Land Saga and Ninja Kamui.
The music is being composed by Kohta Yamamoto, known for Attack on Titan Final Season and Shun Narita of The Stunned Hero and the Assassin Princesses. Sound direction is being taken care of by Yukio Nagasaki of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War and Dragon Ball Z Kai. Credit for character design goes to Tarō Yamada and Hiroyuki Moriguchi.
