Kaiji’s Middle Manager Tonegawa Anime Casts Its Lead

A spinoff anime was recently announced for the Kaiji series, which is based on the high-stakes manga by Nobuyuki Fukumoto. This one, however, comes from the Chronicles of Middle Manager Tonegawa spinoff manga—written by Tensei Hagiwara and illustrated by Tomoihiro Hashimoto and Tomoki Miyoshi—and its lead has officially been cast.
The role of mid-level manager Yukio Tonegawa—who constantly finds himself distracted by his foolish subordinates and cruel boss—goes to Toshiyuki Morikawa. Morikawa is known for roles ranging from One Piece‘s Hatchan to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable‘s Yoshikage Kira.
