This weekend Archipel, one of our favorite YouTube channels, dropped another great video. This one goes behind the scenes of a new collaboration between horror manga master Junji Ito and modeler Yoshiki Fujimoto.
The two have teamed up to create a high-end model of Ito’s iconic character Tomie, who features in many of Ito’s manga (as well as a bunch of live-action and anime adaptations).
The video demonstrates the mutual admiration these two creators have for each other, and all the hard work that went in to making this Tomie figure as high quality as possible. Big bonus for fans of the Alien franchise: just check out that Xenomorph, man.

Tomie Kawakami is a femme fatale with long black hair and a beauty mark just under her left eye.
