JUJUTSU KAISEN Manga to End in a Year (Probably), Says Akutami

JUJUTSU KAISEN Manga to End in a Year (Probably), Says AkutamiThis weekend, we learned the next season of the JUJUTSU KAISEN anime would start airing in July 2023. We also got a hint about when the manga will end straight from its creator, Gege Akutami.

In a written statement displayed at Jump Festa, Akutami wrote:

“As always, I’ll continue drawing some pretty crazy stuff, but please stick with me on this journey for one more year (probably).”

If Akutami sticks with that schedule, we’ll see the JUJUTSU KAISEN manga wrap up around late 2023.

The manga started in the pages of Shonen Jump back in 2018. There are currently 21 collected volumes. Here’s how Viz describes volume one:

Although Yuji Itadori looks like your average teenager, his immense physical strength is something to behold! Every sports club wants him to join, but Itadori would rather hang out with the school outcasts in the Occult Research Club. One day, the club manages to get their hands on a sealed cursed object. Little do they know the terror they’ll unleash when they break the seal…
