Japanese stars Rinko Kikuchi, Shota Sometani Get Hitched

Congrats are order for Japanese film stars Rinko Kikuchi and Shota Sometani. It was announced the pair got married on Sometani’s official website January 1.

Rinko Kikuchi is best-known in the States for her roles in Pacific Rim and Babel, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award. She played Suito Kusanagi in Mamoru Oshii’s anime film The Sky Crawlers.

Sometani is the star of the live-action adaptation of Parasyte. He will play Eiji Niizuma in the upcoming live-action version of bakuman. He also has an anime connection, as he played Tanabe-sensei in Wolf Children.
