Japanese Mascot Characters Get Stuck

Japanese mascot characters get stuck

Here’s an absolutely adorable waste of your time for this Monday.

As you are no doubt aware, Japan is rife with mascot characters, many of whom are big and cuddly. This is generally a good thing, but can prove a problem when these characters attempt to get through doors, take escalators, or squeeze through tight spaces in general.

Case in point, this lovely selection of images recently uploaded to Imgur.

“Why not just remove the costume?” you might ask, but we imagine these Japanese mascots are so dedicated to maintaining the illusion while fans are around, they’re willing to risk getting smooshed in a door frame. Bless them.
