The 2014 J-Pop Summit Festival announced another addition to its lineup with Tomomi Itano—formerly of idol super group AKB48—joining the event as a guest of honor. Itano will be making her first-ever US concert appearance to launch her new release and will perform a special free concert set in Union Square and Japantown.
Itano’s full-length release, SxWxAxG, first debuted on July 2. Her performance at the free J-Pop Live at Union Square concert will take place on the evening of Saturday, July 19 at 7:50pm on San Francisco’s downtown Union Square stage. Her second performance will take place on the Pagoda Main Stage in Japantown on Sunday, July 20 at 11:00am.
There will also be a meet and greet event, with 50 VIP guests invited to join and receive an autographed poster. Attendees will be selected at random from fans that purchase VIP PASS A or B by Friday July 11 at 5pm Pacific Time. You can try your luck here.
