Just a few days ago we received the shocking news that anime director Osamu Kobayashi had passed away at the age of 57. Known for work such as BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad, Paradise Kiss, Naruto Shippuden, and much more, the news hit anime fans all over the world hard. Now, thanks to a special Google Forms page, fans outside of Japan can leave their own fond memories and messages of condolence to celebrate the life of the director.
Messages can be in any language and cover any memories or thoughts one may have about Osamu Kobayashi and his work.
The official Twitter account of the late director also shared a final memorial tweet. The post confirms that Kobayashi’s remains were cremated according to his final wishes, and once the pandemic eases up his ashes will be scattered off the coast of one of his favorite travel locations, Jogashima Island in Miura City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
