Today is Lovers’ Day in Japan, so it’s only fitting that an anime adaptation be revealed for Yuki Demoto’s I Want to End This Love Game manga. The news of a TV anime series came ahead of the release of the manga’s seventh volume, which hits shelves in Japan on June 18.
There aren’t any further details—including staff, cast and release date—at the time of this writing. For now, you can check out a special illustration from Demoto below.
The original I Want to End This Love Game manga has been running via Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry imprint since December 2021. An English version is available through VIZ Media, which describes the series like so:
After leaving behind his image as a quiet nerd, Yukiya’s ready to break hearts and take names with the ultimate high school glow-up. Well, he’s really just got one girl in his sights—his best friend, Miku! Using her favorite shojo manga as his weapon, he’s prepared to pin her to the wall and gaze at her with the perfect smolder! Will his advances get her heart racing? Or will Yukiya end up making a fool of himself?
