We now know the winners of the 2025 Astra TV Awards! Let’s take a look at what anime were involved.
For the fairly recent category of Best Anime Series, the award went to Dragon Ball DAIMA. It competed against DAN DA DAN, Fire Force Season 3, Lazarus, Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- and The Apothecary Diaries Season 2.
As for the category Best Lead Voice-Over Performance, that went to Aleks Le in honor of his portrayal of Sung Jinwoo, specifically in Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-. Stephanie Nadolny was also in the running for that category for her voice work as mini Son Goku in Dragon Ball DAIMA.
Caitlin Glass (One Piece), Justin Briner (Solo Leveling) and Xolo Maridueña (Sakamoto Days) were nominated for Best Supporting Voice-Over Performance but did not take home the award. Instead it went to Star Trek: Lower Decks’ Jack Quaid.
Solo Leveling nabbed Best Anime Series in 2024. Before that, there was no anime category, and Attack on Titan became the first anime to get honored there when it received the award for Best Streaming Animated Series or TV Movie.
