Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! (a.k.a. Dosanko Gal wa Namaramenkoi in Japanese) is set to debut on January 8, so this weekend’s Jump Festa ’24 event used the opportunity to share a commercial for the show, plus more info on the cast. Here is the 30-second commercial to advertise how adorable Hokkaido gals can be.
And here are the actors revealed during Jump Festa ’24: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka plays Takayumi Matsuo, Rika Nagae plays Momoko Fuyuki, Eri Kitamura plays Minami Fuyuki, Mariko Nagai plays Asuka, and Yurika Kubo plays Hina.

Mirai Minato, whose background includes working on BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense., has the double task of overseeing the series scripts and chief direction. Credit for character design goes to Katsuyuki Sato, who is known for working on My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex and Fire in His Fingertips -My Childhood Friend is a Fireman-.
The opening song is titled “Namaramenkoi Gyaru” (translated as “Super Adorable Gal”) and is performed by Masayoshi Ōishi, while the ending song is “Wayawayawa-!” (translated as “Pretty Crazy-!”) and is performed by Asaka.
MANGA Plus, which is digitally releasing the manga series by Kai Ikada, gave this short description for its plot:
High school boy Tsubasa moves to Kitami City up in Hokkaido, where he meets a “gal” at a bus stop. The sight of her standing alone against the white snowscape, bare-legged despite the freezing cold, captures his heart.
The manga got its start in 2019, on Shonen Jump+.
