Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail Being Adapted into Film

Not much of a surprise here, but good news nonetheless. Hiro Mashima’s wildly successful manga Fairy Tail—adapted into an ongoing anime produced by A-1 Pictures and Satelight—is now also being adapted into a film.

According to the email newsletter for Kodansha’s Comic Plus members, the Fairy Tail movie is scheduled to hit Japanese theaters in August 2012.

There’s not much else to say about the movie at the moment, but it’s nice to know it’s on the way. For now, you can keep up with new Fairy Tail episodes over at Crunchyroll, and prepare for the first of FUNimation’s DVD/Blu-ray sets in November.
