Haigakura Anime Drops New Key Art, Release Window

Haigakura Anime Drops New Key Art, Release WindowHaigakura, the anime adaptation of the fantasy manga by Shinobu Takayama, was announced last year. Now we’ve got a fresh piece of key art for the series, and we’ve learned it’s set to hit screens this fall.

The series is directed by Junichi Yamamoto (More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers) with scripts by Yu Murai (Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion). Character designs are by Masaki Sato, and music is by Yūki Kurihara. The animation studio is Typhoon Graphics.

The series will star:
Takeo Ōtsuka as Ichiyō
Kaito Ishikawa as Tenkō
Lynn as Hakushurin
Hiro Shimono as Ransaiwa
Satoshi Hino as Sontō

Haigakura has been running since 2008, and there are currently 16 collected volumes on offer. The manga is about Kashikans, officers who must track down gods and capture them to restore order to the world. Weirdly, there’s no official English adaptation available yet, but maybe this anime will spur some interest for publishers!
