“More maniac! More extreme!” is the exclamation that kicks off the Kickstarter pitch for Gunsmith Cats and Riding Bean creator Kenichi Sonoda’s new project. Sonoda took this weekend’s Anime Central convention as an opportunity to announce plans to crowdfund an original 5+ minute anime starring Gunsmith Cats character Bean Bandit.
The campaign is now live, with a little under a month to go to raise $135,375. It looks like it should be a rousing success, because at the time of this writing it already has over $60k.

When the project is finished, Sonoda plans to return to screen the results at Anime Central 2019.
