The Golden Joystick Awards, which has been around for more than forty years, has revealed its 2024 winners! Let’s take a look at which otaku titles received awards.
To surely no one’s surprise, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth nabbed some of the awards. For starters, it took home the Best Soundtrack and Best Storytelling awards. Two of its English actors were also honored: the Best Lead Performer went to Cody Christian for his portrayal of Cloud, while Best Supporting Performer went to Briana White for her portrayal of Aerith.
The award for Best Game Expansion was picked up by the DLC expansion Shadow of the Erdtree from Elden Ring, which comes to us from FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment.
The Best Audio Design was scooped up by Astro Bot, while Best Gaming Hardware was given to Steam Deck OLED.
