Godzilla Anime Film Lined Up for 2017

Hot on the heels of Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi’s Shin Godzilla is news that the Big G is heading to the world of animation. Knights of Sidonia studio Polygon Pictures is producing an anime film, with Gen Urobuchi (Fate/Zero, Madoka Magica, Thunderbolt Fantasy) lined up to pen the script. The theatrical premiere is currently set for sometime next year.
Knights of Sidonia director Kobun Shizuno will direct the film alongside Blame! director Hiroyuki Seshita. There isn’t too much info on the project yet, but an official website is live with staff comments, and you can see a teaser image below.
