Leiji Matsumoto’s beloved character Maetel is getting beers inspired by her. The initial release, Galaxy Express 999: Maetel Weizen, officially came out in Japan yesterday, and was made by Sawauchi Brewery. The image to go with it was produced by Toei Animation. More Galaxy Express 999 themed beers are slated to come.
Not only does Maetel grace the cans themselves, but if you buy a whole pack, you can see her on the box as well.
