June 28, 2010 It’s been hinted at in various ways since around the time the lovingly titled Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt was announced, and now the next Gainax project has been officially confirmed.
Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian (Dantalian no Shoka) is a light novel series written by Gakuto Mikumo. It takes place in 1920s London, and follows a young man who meets a girl; more specifically, she’s a handler of the titular forbidden books of demonic wisdom.
Gainax’s production of the novel series’ anime adaptation is confirmed in Wednesday’s August issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s The Sneaker magazine, though Gainax co-founder Hiroyuki Yamaga more or less revealed the project in part at FanimeCon (check out Mark Aspillera’s article on his appearance here), followed by more in an interview with ANN.
