Funimation Licenses Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler)

Make all the Fresh Prince jokes you want, I’m just the messenger. During their FuniCon 3.0 panel on Monday, Funimation announced their acquisition of Black Butler, AKA Kuroshitsuji, the first season of the anime based on Yana Toboso’s manga of the same name.

The 24-episode season, directed by Toshiya Shinohara (Gunparade Orchestra), originally ran from 2008-2009, with a second season announced for July 2010. That follow-up is titled, appropriately, Kuroshitsuji II.
