Yasuhiro Irie, the director of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, is back at work on a new project. It’s a TV anime called Healer Girl, and the healer girls in question heal people through their singing. It’s described as “a bold, new form of musical healing animation.””
A cast has been announced: Akane Kumada plays Hibiki Morishima, Carin Isobe plays Kana Fujii, Marina Horiuchi plays Remi Gojo, and Chihaya Yoshitake plays Sonia Yanagi.
The anime is being animated at Studio 3Hz and Noboru Kimura of Gundam Build Divers has the job of supervising scripts. Yukie Akiya of Celestial Method has been tapped as character designer. The report did not say when the anime is scheduled to debut.
