Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Manga Gets Anime Adaptation

Writer Kanehito Yamada and illustrator Tsukasa Abe’s Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End manga is getting ready to release its ninth collected volume in Japan on September 15, and it’s bringing with it news of an anime adaptation. The info came out a little bit ahead of the volume’s launch, so we now have a chance to see how Frieren looks in anime form thanks to a newly-revealed teaser visual.

There are currently no further details, so we’ll have to wait for more. 

The award-winning Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End manga has been running in Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine since April 2020, and VIZ Media publishes the series in English. Here’s the official synopsis:

Decades after their victory, the funeral of one her friends confronts Frieren with her own near immortality. Frieren sets out to fulfill the last wishes of her comrades and finds herself beginning a new adventure…
