The long-awaited third season of The Rising of the Shield Hero is on the way. The anime hits screens in October, and now we’ve got a first look via a new trailer.
New cast members for The Rising of the Shield Hero season 3 include Ami Koshimizu as Nadia, Kohei Amasaki as Fohl, Konomi Kohara as Atla, and Maria Naganawa as S’yne.
The Rising of the Shield Hero is also celebrating its 10th anniversary, as the first volume of the light novel series by Aneko Yusagi was released back in 2013. Light novel illustrator Seira Minami released a new piece of art to commemorate the occasion, which you can see below.

Naofumi Iwatani, an uncharismatic otaku who spends his days on games and manga, suddenly finds himself summoned to a parallel universe! As the Shield Hero, the weakest of the heroes, all is not as it seems. Naofumi is soon alone, penniless, and betrayed. With no one to turn to, and nowhere to run, he is left with only his shield.
