On the heels of the release of the first episode of Gundam the Origin, Japanese site Buzz+ News popped 200 female readers the question: which Gundam character would you rather marry, Amuro Ray or Char Aznable?
The final tally: Char 53%, Amuro 47%.
What were some of the reasons behind the results?
“Neither are really the marrying type, are they?”
“Amuro seems like he’d just stay indoors.”
“Char probably wouldn’t come home at night.”
“It’s not so much that I want to marry Char as that I don’t want to marry Amuro.”
“Amuro would be a total pain in the ass.”
Furthermore, the pollsters speculate Char’s slight margin over Amuro might be do to being, well, a lot cooler than Amuro. Sorry guy.
Watch out, though, they warn: Char’s known to have a bit of a mother’s complex.
