Following an earlier delay, we finally know when we’ll get to check out the Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn- anime special. In fact, audiences in the United States will get to see it first, because the spinoff will host its world premiere at this year’s Anime Expo event!
It’s all going down at Anime Expo 2023 in Los Angeles, CA on July 1 at 7:00pm local time, and directors Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume will be in attendance for the event for the dubbed screening. This puts the premiere right before the special’s broadcast debut in Japan, which is scheduled for July 2 and 7:00pm Japan Time on ABEMA, Nico Nico Live and Tokyo MX

The premiere is fitting seeing that the story—which has a script by Daisuke Ohigashi based on the light novels by Ryohgo Narita (Baccano!, Durarara!!)—centers on a False Holy Grail War in the United States.
