fairy tail: 100 years quest

Last month we learned that the Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest anime—which adapts the sequel manga written and storyboarded by original creator Hiro Mashima and illustrated by Atsuo Ueda—is set to premiere this July. Now another little slice of a preview has arrived, this time showing off the updated character designs for the familiar leads.

Here’s a closer look at Wendy Marvell, Carla, Lucy Heartfilia, Natsu Dragneel, Lucky, Gray Fullbuster and Erza Scarlet.

All of their respective voice cast members—including Satomi Satou, Yui Horie, Aya Hirano, Tetsuya Kakihara, Rie Kugimiya, Yuichi Nakamura and Sayaka Ohara—are back.

Shinji Ishihara is general director for the Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest anime, with Toshinori Watanabe as director, Atsuhiro Tomioka as series composition writer and Yurika Sako as character designer for the J.C.STAFF production.

Kodansha USA publishes the Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest manga in English and describes it:

Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Erza, and the whole Fairy Tail Guild are back in action! And they’ve decided to tackle the “100 Years Quest”—a job no one’s dared take on since the founding of the guild more than a century ago. A mysterious town, a baffling spirit, a ghastly new enemy … and a brand new continent to explore. When you’re with real friends, the adventures never stop!
