Evangelion Smartphone Rings Keep Your Phone From Flying to the Moon

Evangelion Smartphone RingsDo you constantly scan for Evangelion headlines, hoping against all odds the next one might contain some news about Evangelion 3+1?

If so, uh, sorry.

This is strictly about some new Evangelion merch. Specifically, two variations of smartphone ring—you know, those things that attach to the back of massive phones to help you keep a grip on ‘em.

One of the Evangelion smartphone rings depicts the series’ fourth Angel, while the other is based on the NERV logo. The rings are described as “thick and solid,” and double as a smartphone stand. Both go for ¥1,728 (about $15 as of this writing) and ship in April.

Fun fact: Evangelion 1.0 was released in 2007, the same year as the original iPhone.
