Here’s something we didn’t expect! Just a few months after the wildly successful Japanese theatrical run, Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time officially has international plans. In fact, it’s coming to Amazon Prime Video with streaming set to kick off on August 13.
The fourth and final Evangelion rebuild film will be available in over 240 countries (except for Japan) when it launches, and it won’t be alone. The previous three films in the series will be along for the ride, and the new movie will be available with both the English and Japanese dubs, as well as in French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian and with 28 subtitle languages.

Hideaki Anno commented on the release plans:
“I’d like to thank every Eva fan in the world for your continued support.
We were looking for the best way to offer the movie to fans overseas as early as possible in a challenging situation with movie theaters during COVID-19, and are happy to have found Prime Video as a partner to stream it globally. We highly recommend watching it on a big TV screen for the best viewing experience.”
