The yuri manga Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? by Yakinikuteishoku will soon have an anime adaptation! It’s being described as a “short” TV anime, and it’s set to debut in 2026. The Deregula label (known for Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World! and Chuhai Lips: Canned Flavor of Married Women) from WWWave is handling the adaptation.
Creator Yakinikuteishoku helped share the news, both by making a new illustration (see header image above) and by leaving this online statement:
“Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?” is getting an anime adaptation! When I first got the news, I was completely caught off guard — it felt like it came out of nowhere! But now that it’s sinking in, I’m genuinely excited to see Akane and Nadeshiko moving and speaking on screen. To everyone who’s been reading the series, I’d be so happy if you’d look forward to the anime with me! It’ll be a little while before it actually airs, but I’ll be doing my best to keep the excitement going as we head toward the premiere. Thank you so much for your continued support!
The manga got its start in 2021 in the pages of Comic Yuri Hime magazine. Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing it in English and gave this description for the plot:
Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? Plot
Office Lady Tsuda Akane, age 28, seems like she’s got it all together. Beautiful, brainy, and an indispensable office worker for a robotics manufacturer, Akane’s admired at work…because her colleagues can’t see her at home. Privately, Akane’s a hot mess with an apartment that looks more like a landfill than a living space. Good thing she drunkenly ordered a new android named Nadeshiko to help her clean up! Well, maybe not good, because the beautiful lady android that arrives is a horny hottie. Akane’s about to get more service than she expected!
