Discotek Media, king of announcing things on Facebook, let loose two new licenses earlier tonight, each of which should please different groups of fans: Space Pirate Captain Harlock and Love Com.
Discotek will release the original 42-episode 1978 Captain Harlock TV anime in one complete DVD set, featuring the original Japanese audio and English subtitles. Directed by Rintaro and based on the manga by Leiji Matsumoto, the set is scheduled to be released “soon.”
Also coming soon is Love Com, AKA Lovely Complex. The 2007 romantic series, based on Aya Nakahara’s manga, will come out in a complete 24-episode collection in Japanese with English subs.
Anyone looking forward to these releases? Discotek has a great licensing track record, and their attempts to diversify are always appreciated.
