AbemaTV aired a Demon Slayer Matsuri Online -Anime 2nd Anniversary Festival- live stream in Japan, and at one point over 1.5 million people were tuning in for the announcements. One of the reveals was a long time coming, as Demon Slayer season 2 was officially announced for a 2021 premiere.

Following the events of the record-breaking Mugen Train movie, Demon Slayer season 2 will have the same cast and staff returning from that and the first season to continue adapting Koyoharu Gotouge’s hit Shonen Jump manga. The trailer is currently geo-locked to Japan, but you can see the full key visual that came along with the announcement below.
