Deep Pockets: 60-Centimeter Mazinger Toy

If your dream has always been to own a 1/30-scale replica toy of Go Nagai’s legendary robot, Mazinger Z, then let’s hope your wallet is ready for one hell of a hit. In celebration of the 35th anniversary of Bandai’s Chogokin toy line, the company will be releasing the two-foot tall “Urban Material Chogokin Mazinger Z.”

Sounds great, right? Here’s the catch. This “Urban Material” toy will run collectors a staggering 2 million yen (US$20,400). The unveiling of this remarkably expensive toy will be held at Tamashii Nation 2009, held this week (March 26-29) at the Akihabara UDX building in Tokyo.
