Darwin’s Game Manga to End Very Soon

darwin's game manga

FLIPFLOPs’ Darwin’s Game manga first started its run in Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Shonen Champion magazine back in December 2012, and now it’s ready to close the book on its story. According to the September issue of the magazine, the 125th chapter will be its last. Since Saturday marked the debut of chapter 123, Darwin’s Game just has two chapters to go and should come to an end this October.

The Darwin’s Game manga previously inspired a TV anime adaptation, which is available to stream on Netflix and Crunchyroll, with the latter describing it below:

Kaname Sudo, an ordinary high school student, receives an invitation email to try a mysterious app called “Darwin’s Game.”

Kaname, upon launching the app, is drawn into a game where players fight one another using superpowers called Sigils.

Without knowing the reason for all this, can Kaname survive furious battles against the powerful players who attack him?

Darwin’s Game also inspired a prequel novel by the FLIPFLOPs duo—which consists of writer Shu Miyama and illustrator Yuki Takahata—in January 2020, covering the past of Shuka and Rain, AKA Rein Kashiwagi. There’s also a spinoff manga planned with a focus on Rain.
